Safety-Wise
Training
This is a required
training and is considered the second half, or companion course, to
Basic Leader Orientation. Basic Leader Orientation and Safety-Wise
together equate to Sahuaro Girl Scout Council’s Basic Leader Training.
Safety-Wise training
acquaints volunteers with the Girl Scout publication Safety-Wise,
and the concept that this manual is for the safety management program
that is in place in Girl Scouting to protect both the girls and adults.
Safety of the girls is always our first priority and this training will
elaborate on the necessary procedures participants must follow to ensure
the safety of everyone involved.
Who: Any adult volunteer working with girls K-12th
grades. (Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts grade 9-12th are
welcome to register for this training)
