This course is required
for any volunteer working with girls who are planning and preparing for
an extended trip of more than two nights within Arizona, or any trip
outside of the state or outside of the country. This course covers:
readiness of the group to travel; girl/adult partnership, planning, and
progression; researching ideas and developing group consensus;
conducting parent meetings; budgeting and expenses; money-earning
activities; and developing group rules to make the experience pleasant
for everyone involved. Participants will receive a packet of
forms needed for extended travel as well as a trekking network directory
and international travel packet, if appropriate.
