Safety Sense-May
Who:   Brownie Girl Scouts (Grades 1-3)

It takes sense to stay safe! “Discover” safety basics at this workshop. “Connect” first aid principles and skills to a variety of activities. “Take Action” by being pool safe, fire safe, and knowing exactly what goes into making a first aid kit. Wrap up the evening with a pizza dinner!

Summer Series for Seniors: Our Cabaña
Who:    Senior Girl Scouts (Grades 10-12)
When:  Saturday, May 17, 2008

Capacity: Minimum 6/Maximum 25

This four-part series through the summer will culminate in a program in the fall for all ages. “Discover” the four WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts) World Centers and the WAGGGS triennial theme “Our Rights, Our Responsibilities.” This first workshop focuses on Our Cabaña located in Cuernavaca, Mexico. “Connect” with WAGGGS as you learn about Our Cabaña, how to visit and what this world center’s programming is all about. “Take Action” by exploring the triennial theme and its message. It’s recommended but not mandatory that you attend all four workshops in the series.

Fee:      $25.00 per registered Girl Scout. Space is limited for adults.

A well-trained, enthusiastic Program Aide is a real asset; she’s someone younger Girl Scouts can look up to. “Discover” the benefits of serving as a PA. “Connect” with other PA trainees as you develop leadership skills, self-evaluation, younger girl insight, and practice teaching skills. Program Aide expectations will be covered. “Take Action” by using your training to assist with a variety of exciting programs and events. After completion of one Skills Training girls will receive the PA pin.

Summer Series for Seniors: Pax Lodge
Who:     Senior Girl Scouts (Grades 10-12)
When:   Saturday, June 21, 2008
