CATS The Musical: Broadway in Tucson-Now in May

Since its opening in London in 1981, Cats has been presented in over 20 countries and in about 250 cities. Cats has been translated into ten languages. In 1982/1983, it won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Cats ran for a total of 7,485 performances on Broadway, making it one of the longest-running Broadway musicals of all time. “Discover” incredible dancing, amazing special effects, fantastic costumes, and memorable music that makes Cats one of the most popular stage musicals for young and old alike. “Connect” your experiences of being an audience member for movies or television to the experience of a live spectacle production. “Take Action” by letting your imagination go as you are transformed to the magical world of Cats. Puppets, Puppets: A Mom & Me Bus Trip
Who:    Brownie Girl Scouts (Grades 1-3) and accompanying female adult

Where: Meet at Council Resource Center and travel by motor coach to Phoenix and The Great Arizona Puppet Theatre
Fee:    $25.00 per person
 Fee$50 per girl, $25 per adult.
Registration Deadline: June 6, 2008
Capacity: 22 girl/adult couples

“Discover” the magical world of puppetry. Board our air-conditioned motor coach for a day of creative adventures as we travel to Phoenix to enjoy a performance at The Great Arizona Puppet Theatre. “Connect” with professional puppeteer artists as they not only perform, but also take you backstage and behind the scenes of puppet performance. We will tour the backstage and puppet museum following the show, and the girls will “Take Action” by making their very own puppet friend to take home. Puppet-themed activities will also entertain our travelers en-route. Dinner in Phoenix will be followed by a special puppet movie for the return trip home. This program will also complete the Brownie Puppets, Dolls, & Plays Try-It. (Try-It is not included in the registration fee.)
