The Girl
Scout Silver Award is the highest award you can earn as a
Girl Scout ages 11-14. The award recognizes your efforts in
a range of Girl Scouting and community experiences, as well
as your commitment to work to enhance your life and the
lives of others.
You may work on the Silver Award with your
troop or as an individual. Be sure to ask a mentor to help
you if you choose to work on this award as an individual.
The mentor could be a friend, relative, teacher, etc. You
and your leader/mentor will decide when you have completed
the work.
The first four requirements of the
award are opportunities for you to increase your leadership
skills, explore career possibilities and develop yourself to
your full potential. You may do these in any order, but
they must be completed prior to the fifth requirement, the
Girl Scout Silver Award Project. You should work closely
with your adult mentor while completing all requirements. To
find out more about the
requirements refer to the Girl Scout Silver Award
